What has changed with Accounting Seed

Much has changed since the last time I reviewed Accounting Seed as a replacement, on the Salesforce platform, to Sage Financials. Though it is still a bit American, they now have features to support all the needs of UK and EU clients, without the terrible bugs we all remember from Sage Financials… Support for UK & EU Bank Reconciliation, as well as solutions to robustly handle VAT, VIES & INTRASTAT may now make this an ideal solution for you or your clients.

As well as the key accounting features, Accounting Seed has been building out support for automating accounts payable and accounts receivable, including AI (of course) and has built out analytics using Salesforce CRM Analytics. For some companies this will hugely improve accounting productivity, and for all companies, the CRM Analytics can fast track you to a new level in analysis of accounting data.

If you or your clients are looking for a stand-alone accounting solution, this is not the answer. But if you want to maximise productivity and make your accounting system match your unique requirements, then you need to look again at Accounting Seed again.

Accounting Seed uses standard Salesforce objects:

  • Account
  • Contact
  • Opportunity
  • Product

Which means it can tightly integrate with your CRM system, and you can utilise all the Salesforce features such as Approvals, Flow, Reporting or emailing to keep all client interaction in one place.

Accounting Seed positively encourages clients and partners to customise their solution, with a well documented API for APEX and Flow. So if you have customised your Salesforce or are using a vertical market Appexchange solution you can integrate your solution to your accounting, automating the bookkeeping & financial functions.

Some Appexchange solutions, for example AvSight (aviation parts management) or Stapp (inventory management), already support integration with Accounting Seed. Otherwise an Accounting Seed partner will be able to help if you don’t have the skills in-house.

If you want more information, please get in touch and I will always honestly evaluate your particular situation. And if I can’t answer your questions, I’ll put you in touch with someone who can!
